Ladies, Gents set for home finale against Louisiana College
SHREVEPORT – Five total Ladies and Gents will suit up one more time at Mayo Field Tuesday evening as the Ladies and Gents wrap up their home slates and regular seasons with non-conference matches against Louisiana College at 5 and 7 p.m. The Gents ride a three-match winning streak, improving to 5-13 and 2-8 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play thanks to three goals by senior Adam Ghaemmaghami in the last two games. Two of his goals were game-winners. He’s one of four Gents, along with Spencer Nickerson, John Seat and Robbie Ramirez who will play at Mayo Field for the last time while Allie Cortes makes her home finale for the Ladies. The Ladies split last week’s contests, moving to 4-9-1 and 0-8 in league play before this weekend’s SCAC Tournament, downing Texas College 1-0 and dropping their final SCAC contest to the University of Dallas 4-0. Louisiana College’s women enter Tuesday’s match 5-10-2 overall after a 2-1 overtime win over the University of the Ozarks. The Lady Wildcats snapped a four-match winless streak. The Wildcats (7-7-2) have lost three straight after starting the year 3-0. |
