Centenary returns to action at Hendrix Relays
CONWAY, Ark. – Having nearly a month off after their annual intrasquad swim meet, the Centenary swim teams return to action Saturday at the Hendrix Relays. The only match so far for Centenary was against LSU, a 64-38 loss, but the Ladies and Gents look to take advantage of the time away from competition for a strong showing Saturday. “This shouldn’t affect us in a negative way,” head coach Butch Jordan said. “They’re ready to swim. We should be ready to go.” Both squads will be shorthanded because of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference cross country meets, missing eight total swimmers, four from each side. “As far as a team effort goes, it won’t be what we’re expecting, but it’s all relays so it’s a fun way to do the meet. We’re just going to race. As far as the relays go, we’re just looking forward to competing and looking forward to a good showing.” |
