Bio
Dominic Percia enters his seventh season with the men’s basketball program and was elevated to Associate Head Coach in the summer of 2025.
 
Percia, an Assistant Coach for the Gents the past five seasons, is a native of Sterling, Mass. He grew up in Orlando, Fla., and is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he earned a dual Master’s in Sport Management and Master of Business Administration. He earned an undergraduate degree in Marketing from Florida State University in 2018.
 
The Gents finished the 2025-26 season at 11-16 overall and 8-8 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play and made their 12th all-time appearance in the SCAC Tournament. The Gents were predicted to finish ninth in the conference this season yet finished second in the league's Blue Division and tied for the fifth-best record in the SCAC.

Centenary, which earned the No. 2 seed in the SCAC's Blue Division, started the season just 1-9 as it made its way through a difficult non-conference schedule. But the Gents went 10-7 the rest of the way which included a six-game winning streak from Jan. 30-Feb. 13. The Gents lost their first six games of the season which included a pair of one-point losses, a three-point loss, and a six-point loss until finally getting in the win column with a 64-62 victory at East Texas Baptist University on Dec. 9.

The Gents defeated Colorado College by a score of 65-53 in the opening game of the 2026 SCAC Tournament on Feb. 27 in Conway, Ark. before falling 64-34 to the nationally-ranked University of St. Thomas Celts in the semifinals.

Senior G Quentin Beverly (Katy, Texas) finished his sensational career by being named All-Conference for the fourth time in his career. Beverly, who was named to the All-SCAC Second Team, scored in double figures a team-high 25 times and did so in 14-straight games to end the season. Beverly finishes his stellar career with 1,278 points to rank 20th all-time in the 102 years of Centenary men's basketball. He played in 99 career games with 95 starts and averaged 12.9 PPG and 18.0 PPG this season. On Jan. 11 in a road contest at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas he became just the 37th Gent to score 1,000 or more career points with 27 against the Mountaineers.

Freshman G Jaden Braden (Natchitoches, La.) and freshman G/F Kane Broussard (Iowa, La.) joined Beverly on the All-SCAC Team as each garnered Honorable-Mention recognition. The two rookies Braden and Broussard also earned two of the five coveted spots on the prestigious All-Freshman Team.

Centenary, one of the league's top defensive teams this season, allowed the second-fewest points in conference play and in all games (conference and non-conference) during the regular season. The Gents ranked in the top five in the conference in scoring defense, FG % defense and 3-point FG % defense in the regular season. The Gents held 12 opponents to 70 points or less and eight under 65 points this season. Centenary held seven-straight conference opponents to 68 points or less from Jan. 30-Feb. 14.

Percia helped lead the Gents to one of their most successful periods in program history highlighted by a conference title and an NCAA Tournament in 2023-24. Centenary earned the No. 3 seed in the SCAC Tournament as the Maroon and White made their 11th-straight appearance in the event where they defeated Colorado College 83-76 to win the Championship and earn an NCAA Tournament berth.

The Gents finished the 2023-24 season again as a top defensive club in division III, holding 15 of their 29 opponents to 70 points or less during the season and 10 to 65 points or less. The Gents finished 11-3 on their home court counting the regular season and conference tournament and 27 of their last 42 at the Gold Dome.

The Gents, as a team, averaged 73.9 PPG, shot 41.6 % from the floor, 32.8 % from beyond the arc, 70.5 % from the FT line in the championship season, and averaged 33.9 rebounds per game and 11.4 assists/game. Centenary was once again a well-rounded team as the Maroon and White found themselves ranked nationally in multiple statistical categories on both sides of the ball:

Ranked 17th in Turnover Margin (4.6)

Ranked 23rd in Turnovers Forced Per Game (16.8) and forced 488 total this season.

Tied for 74th in 3-point baskets made per game (8.7) with 251 made this season.

Ranked 64th in Field-Goal Percentage Defense (40.8 %)

Ranked 78th in Steals Per Game (8.6)

 In 2022-23, The Gents finished 18-9 overall and 10-6 in conference play and tied the division III era (2012-present) single-season record for wins.

Centenary has now finished .500 or better in all four of five seasons in Percia’s time as the Gents have established themselves as one of the most successful programs in the conference.

Percia worked as Director of Player Management for Premier Sports Agency, helping place professional players while at UMass. He also interned with the West Coast Conference’s league office, conducting a Men’s Basketball transfer study and it a two-year member of Rising Coaches.

Percia is the son of Salvatore and Jill Percia and is the second-youngest of six as he has two brothers (Ben and Cam), and three sisters; Veronica, Lizzie, and Ana.
