2016 Freshman Season: Played in four games... Named to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Scholars List after the fall 2016 semester.

Prior to Centenary: Ran track and played soccer for head coach Greg Head as a center and outside midfielder for Warren Central HS... Accomplishments on the pitch for the Vikings include All-County honors in two seasons and the Most Versatile Player award. Academically, Wamsley was named to the Honor Roll and Hall of Fame.

Personal: Full name is Max Christian Wamsley... Birthday August 23 in Durham, N.C.... Son of Ty and Lisa Wamsley... Has two siblings: brother Nick Wright and sister Mia Wamsley... Majoring in biology.

The Centenary tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to the Texas A&M-Texarkana Eagles in a non-conference match on Saturday at the Tennis Courts at Texarkana College.The Maroon and White welcome Texas Lutheran to town on Sunday for a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match set for 9 a.m. Centenary will then host LSU-S on Feb. 15.

The Centenary men's tennis team opened its regular season on Thursday at the ITA Southwest Regional Tournament with doubles action. The Gents opened up their season in the four-day event hosted by fellow Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference member Southwestern University.
