Track & Field Completes Second Day At SCAC Championships
The Centenary men's and women's track and field teams completed the second day of action in the 2026 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday at Wilford Moore Stadium.

2026 SCAC Track & Field Championships – Live Stream
Sophomore Dwayne Mills Jr. (Slidell, La.) finished eighth in the 100-meter dash (10.71) and sophomore Jay Scott (Slidell, La.) was 10th in the triple jump (12.79m).
In the men's 400-meter dash, freshman Zack Wroten (Benton, La.) led the way for the Gents as he finished 12th in a time of 50.95. Freshman Malcolm Pierce (Ruston, La.) was next in 14th place (51.23) and junior Bryan Washington (Wylie, Texas) finished 15th (51.98).
Sophomore Clayton Hancock (Buna, Texas) finished 17th in the 400 dash (52.31) and sophomore Phillip Hughes (Bossier City, La.) finished 24th (55.42). Freshman Sawyer Mathews (DeRidder, La.) finished 14th in the 400meter hurdles (59.96).
Junior Christian Cormier (Lafayette, La.) finished 11th in the 100-meter dash (10.77) and sophomore Cameron Hobley (Coushatta, La.) was 20th (11.11). Hobley also had the Gents' top finish in the 200-meter dash (22.48), Pierce finished 22nd (22.65) and Cormier was 34th (23.56).
On the women's side, sophomore Grayson Shugart (McKinney, Texas) finished sixth in the triple jump (10.26m) and 14th in the 400-meter dash (1:03.54) while sophomore Gabrielle Malagarie (Lafayette, La.) finished ninth in the high jump (1.42m).

- The final day of competition resumes Sunday with the men's 5,000-meter final at 8:00 AM, followed by the women's event at 8:30 AM. A complete schedule of events can be found here.
