Track & Field Set For Ouachita Invitational
The Centenary men's and women's track and field teams will compete in the Ouachita Invitational hosted Ouachita Baptist University on Saturday at the Hickingbotham Family Track & Field Complex.
Arkadelphia, Ark. - The Centenary men's and women's track and field teams will compete in the Ouachita Invitational hosted Ouachita Baptist University on Saturday at the Hickingbotham Family Track & Field Complex.

Centenary got off to an impressive start to its season last weekend in the LeTourneau University Invitational as the Ladies and Gents combined to win 10 events and set six program records.
Sophomore Grayson Shugart (McKinney, Texas) won the 400 meter run in a school-record time of 1:04.63 and also won the triple jump (9.90m). Sophomore Gabrielle Malagarie (Lafayette, La.) set a school record in the long jump (4.99) to finish as runner-up.
The men's team of junior Christian Cormier (Lafayette, La.), sophomore Cameron Hobley (Coushatta, La.), sophomore Dwayne Mills Jr. (Slidell, La.), sophomore Richard Ross (Normangee, Texas) set a school record in the 4 x 100 meter relay (43.01).
Sophomore Jay Scott (Slidell, La.) set a school record in the triple jump (13.11m), Mills Jr. set the school record in the long jump (6.96m), and freshman Michael Cunningham (Carencro, La.) threw a school record 43.33m in the discus.
Cormier (11.01) and Mills Jr. (11.22) finished first and second in the 100-meter run with Hobley third (11.32), Scott fourth (11.38), and Ross sixth (11.93). Cormier (23.10) and Hobley (23.20) were also first and second in the 200 meters.
Freshman Zack Wroten (Benton, La.) won the 400 meters (51.31), junior Bryan Washington (Wylie, Texas) was fifth (53.76) and junior Herman Pride (Baton Rouge, La.) finished sixth (57.57).
The Gents' team of sophomore Clayton Hancock (Buna, Texas), Scott, Washington, and freshman Malcolm Pierce (Ruston, La.) won the 4 x 400 meter relay in a time of 3:28.29.
Scott finished second in the long jump (6.73m) and sophomore Chaz Smith (Prairieville, La.) was fifth (5.69m). Freshman Ian Hunter (Princeton, Texas) was eighth in the 1500m (4:35.85) and sophomore Evan Halbert (Pearl River, La.) was ninth (5:29.39).
