Centenary Athletics: Weekly Recap for Feb. 7-13
The busiest two months have begun for Centenary athletics, as eight teams are currently in season and by March that number will increase to 12 as men’s and women’s golf and men’s and women’s track and field begin their spring seasons. Shreveport – The busiest two months have begun for Centenary athletics, as eight teams are currently in season and by March that number will increase to 12 as men's and women's golf and men's and women's track and field begin their spring seasons.
Last week, baseball, gymnastics, lacrosse, men's basketball, and women's basketball were all in action. Baseball posted a 2-1 schedule for the week, gymnastics earned runner-up finishes in a pair of weekend meets in Alaska, lacrosse fell in a home shootout to Huntingdon College, men's basketball went 1-1 including a thrilling home overtime win versus Colorado College, and women's basketball also went 1-1 highlighted by a win over St. Thomas at home on Senior Day to snap a 12-game losing streak.
