Richard Polan Named SCAC Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week
Lawrenceville, Ga. - RICHARD POLAN OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a junior from Brno, Czech Republic, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition from Wednesday, March 30 through Tuesday, April 5.

He shares this week's award with Christian Rodriguez of Southwestern University.
Polan earned the first individual victory of his career as he fired a 2-under par 214 to help the Gents finish fourth at the 2022 Rhodes Spring Classic at the par-72, 6,987-yard Mirimichi Golf Club. He was the only golfer to finish under par for the tournament as he wound up five shots ahead of the runner-up finisher.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Christian Rodriguez of Southwestern took medalist honors at the West Region Invitational at Berry Creek Country Club, shooting a three-round total of 212 (-4) to finish atop the 54-player field. His seven under, second round 65 was the low round of the tournament and helped push his Pirates to the team title.
First-year Jacob Mason of Trinity collected a three-under 69, tied for the fourth-best single round of the tournament at the West Regional, on Tuesday and finished two-under through 54 holes, tied for the runner-up spot. Junior Chase Maus of Texas Lutheran recorded a two-over par 72 to finish tied for second place in the individual standings at the West Regional with a 54-hole score of two-under par 214. Junior Trey Schneider of Dallas shot rounds of 75-73-71 to finish at 219 (+3) to finished tied for second at the Rhodes Spring Classic. Junior Colby Miller of Schreiner led the Mountaineers at the West Regional, finishing in 10th with a three-round total of 223 (+7).
