Ladies Back Home This Weekend For Two SCAC Contests
The Centenary women's soccer team returns to its home field on Friday for the first time in two weeks as the Ladies will face Concordia University in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match set for 7 p.m. at Atkins Field.

The Ladies (3-7-2, 1-3 SCAC) and Tornados (4-6-2, 2-1-1 SCAC) will meet for just the second time and first as fellow conference members. Concordia defeated Centenary 1-0 in the 2011 season. Centenary enters Friday's action with a 3-2 record at home while Concordia is 0-3-2 on the road this season.
Centenary fell 3-0 to the University of Dallas Crusaders on Sunday afternoon in Irving, Texas after also dropping a 3-0 decision last Friday in Sherman, Texas to Austin College. The Tornados defeated the University of St. Thomas 5-1 on Sunday.
The Ladies have scored 22 goals this season and added 18 assists while allowing 19 goals. Junior D/MF Kylie Zeller (Denham Springs, La.) and freshman F Jenevieve Willis (Bossier City, La.) are tied for the team lead in goals scored with three each while five Ladies - senior D/MF Kaitlyn Bordelon (Shreveport, La.), senior MF Aubrey Burkhardt (Bossier City, La.), sophomore MF Shona Carlton (Ponchatoula, La.), sophomore MF Sarah Crenshaw (Alexandria, La.), and senior MF/D Desiree Rodriguez (Forney, Texas) have each scored two.
Freshman MF Sydney Hamm (Sterlington, La.) has a team-high three assists, good for a tie for sixth place in the conference, and five Ladies have tallied two apiece. Burkhardt, Crenshaw, and Willis all have multiple goals and assists.
Sophomore GK Kaniyah Hill (Tyler, Texas) and sophomore GK/MF Zoe Keller (Waggaman, La.) have shared keeper duties this season as Hill has started five matches and Keller seven. Keller is sixth in the conference in saves with 39 and is fifth in goals against average at 1.49. Hill has 23 saves and a 1.72 GAA to rank eighth. Hill and Keller have each posted one shutout this season.
Sophomore F Maddie Oberholtzer and Patricia Heckendorn pace the Concordia offensive attack this season as they are tied for the team lead with five goals each and are tied for fourth in the conference. Oberholtzer is the reigning SCAC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring four goals in the Tornados' win over the Celts on Sunday with Heckendorn scoring one.
Lora Tresco has played in 10 matches for the Tornados in the net and is ranked fifth in the conference in saves (40) and sixth in GAA (1.50) and has posted one shutout.
