Gents Sweep HCLC Player Of Week Honors
The Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) announced its weekly awards on Tuesday and the Centenary Gents swept the Player of the Week honors, as sophomore M/A Jordan Cook (Bryant, Ark.) was named Offensive POW and junior Ethan Little (Tyler, Texas) Defensive POW.
CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) announced its weekly awards on Tuesday and the Centenary Gents swept the Player of the Week honors, as sophomore M/A Jordan Cook (Bryant, Ark.) was named Offensive POW and junior Ethan Little (Tyler, Texas) Defensive POW.
Cook and Little helped lead the Gents to their first two wins of the season this past weekend, a 12-11 win on Friday at Anderson and then an 11-7 victory the next day at Earlham.
Cook continued his impressive offensive season last week as he scored eight goals and added four assists for a total of 12 points. He totaled 18 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers in games against Kalamazoo, Anderson, and Earlham. Cook scored five goals against Anderson, and then had two goals and two assists versus Earlham. The sensational sophomore now has 18 goals, seven assists, 25 points, 27 ground balls, and 17 caused turnovers this season. Cook recorded his fourth multi-goal performance of the season and seventh of his young career.
Little had a fantastic week as he totaled 11 ground balls and nine caused turnovers. The seven goals the Gents allowed in Saturday's win is the fewest yielded by the Centenary defense all season. He has started all eight of Centenary's games this season and has recorded 23 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers.

The Gents will next be in action on Sunday, April 10 as they will face the Colorado College Tigers in their annual Senior Day match set for 1 p.m. at Mayo Field.
