Shreveport - The Centenary College STUNT program has released its 2026 season schedule, it was announced on Monday.
The Ladies open their season in the McNeese State University Tournament on Sunday, Feb. 1 in Lake Charles, La. where they will face Texas Woman's University and Texas A&M University - Kingsville.
"I am looking forward to season two with this team," said head coach Kaylee King. "We have grown and learned a lot from our first season and I'm looking forward to seeing what this new and elevated talent will bring to the mat. With over half of the STUNT routines being new this year, we are working to learn as much of the new material as possible to be ready for game day.
"Our season will be shorter this year with less back-to-back travel dates and instead a one week trip up north to cover the bulk of our games. However, we are excited to host home for the very first time and be able to showcase what STUNT really is to the Centenary community. This season we are returning nine team members who were a part of the 2025 inaugural team with three of them being seniors."
Centenary will welcome Muskingum University and McNeese to the Gold Dome on Sunday, Feb. 8 as the Ladies will make their home debut as a program with the matches set for 10 AM and 1 PM.
The Ladies finished eighth in the country in the division III rankings out of 13 teams last season. As the first and only NCAA Varsity STUNT team in the state of Louisiana this past season and the only DIII team in the south, Centenary was forced to play cross divisional the entire season.
Three Ladies were named All-Americans by the College STUNT Coaches Association (CSCA) as senior Avery Cauley (Little Rock, Ark.), junior Ezmeriah Gonzalez (Longview, Texas), and junior J'Anna Sweat (Pitkin, La.) all earned the prestigious honor. Cauley was named to the First Team, Sweat to the Second Team, and Gonzales earned Honorable-Mention honors.
The number of athletes from each team receiving All-American honors was based on the end of the season ranking for each team. The Ladies' eighth-place final ranking allotted them one honoree for each category. All-Americans are selected by the members of the College STUNT Coach Association. In total, the team went 163 rounds of play averaging 10 rounds of play per game with four athletes earning all 163 rounds.
Three Ladies were named to the College STUNT Coaches Association Academic Honor Roll for the 2025 season - Cauley, senior Jo Hoffman (Ragley, La.), and Alli Ledoux (Port Barre, La.) were honored with the prestigious academic distinction as the College STUNT Coaches Association recognizes these outstanding student athletes for their success in the classroom. Nominated student-athletes have a cumulative GPA above a 3.50 and have completed a minimum of 24 credits/units at their current STUNT institution.
The Ladies will finish their season in the Warrior Invitational held in East Stroudsburg, Pa. Feb. 21-22.
