The Ladies moved up from eighth, where they were ranked in the preseason rankings. Centenary was seventh in last season's preseason rankings and finished eighth nationally out of 13 teams as the first and only NCAA Varsity STUNT team in the state of Louisiana. As the only DIII team in the south, the Ladies were forced to play cross divisional the entire 2025 season.
"Receiving a fifth place ranking after a week of really hard work is such a wonderful feeling," said Centenary head coach Kaylee King.
"These Ladies have been working so hard and have been playing multiple games in a row to make this happen. They have put a lot of hard work into perfecting their material and really trying to fly to the best of their abilities, and I am beyond excited to see it finally pay off and for them to be able to receive the recognition they deserve."
The Ladies ecorded a pair of shutout wins against the Aquinas College Saints in a Monday night double face off in Grand Rapids, Mich. as Centenary blanked the Saints 12-0 in both games to continue their recent string of success.
The Ladies continued their impressive play on their lengthy road trip in the Midwest, one that is taking them to four different states over 10 days and featuring 12 games. Centenary tallied its first win of the season on Saturday, 12-2 against the University of Olivet in a 16-round game and then edged sixth-ranked Heidelberg University 8-6 in the Saint Mary's Valentine Classic in South Bend, Ind.
Centenary is back in action on Thursday for a two-game set versus Hiram College and a familiar face - Muskingum University in Hiram, Ohio.
