The Centenary women's soccer team lost 3-1 to the Huntingdon College Hawks on Sunday in a non-conference contest at Atkins Field.

Shreveport - The Centenary women's soccer team lost 3-1 to the Huntingdon College Hawks on Sunday in a non-conference contest at Atkins Field.
The Ladies (0-4) took an early 1-0 lead as senior MF Aubrey Burkhardt (Bossier City, La.) found the net in the eighth minute with the assist credited to senior D Madi Cooley (Natchez, Miss.). The goal was Burkhardt's first of the season and third of her career while the assist was Cooley's first in her career.
The Hawks tied the match in the 35th minute as Greer Kemmett scored and was assisted by Avery Chadwick. Angelina Mazza scored the go-ahead goal in the 49th minute, assisted by Kemmett, to make it 2-1 Hawks. Chloe Goggans scored the Hawks' third goal in the 80th minute off an assist from Chadwick
Freshman GK Gracie Rellin (Haughton, La.) went the distance in goal for the Ladies and made six saves while Huntingdon GK Caroline Masker also played the entire match and recorded three saves. The Hawks took 11 shots to the Ladies' five and nine shots were on goal while four of centenary's were on goal. The Hawks took four corner kicks to the Ladies' one, and the teams combined for 16 fouls - 10 on Centenary and six on Huntingdon.
The Ladies continue their season-long homestand on Tuesday when they face Texas College in a non-conference match set for 6 p.m.
