Ladies Fall In Home Finale Sunday To Concordia 2-0
The Centenary women's soccer team lost 2-0 on Sunday afternoon to Concordia University in the Ladies' home finale in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match at Atkins Field.

Shreveport- The Centenary women's soccer team lost 2-0 on Sunday afternoon to Concordia University in the Ladies' home finale in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match at Atkins Field.
The Ladies (1-13-3, 0-7-2 SCAC) suffered their 11th shutout of the season and finished 1-8-3 at home. The Tornados improved to 5-7-4 overall and 5-2-2 in league play.
Shelby Jones found the net in the 36th minute, her first goal of the season, to give the Tornados a 1-0 lead and was assisted by Emma Payne. Avery Walker's unassisted goal, her second of the season, in the 82nd minute made it 2-0.
Freshman GK Morgan Stancliff (Pensacola, Fla.) played all 90 minutes and made six saves and Lemontraja Roberts went the distance for Concordia and recorded a pair of saves. The Tornados out-shot the Ladies 15-3 and took four corner kicks to the Ladies' one.
Centenary finishes its season next Saturday in Houston against the University of St. Thomas (9-2-4, 6-1-2 SCAC) set for 5 PM at Sabercats Stadium.
