"As we celebrate our seniors, we must stay locked in on the task at hand. We need to bring our A-game. Saturday night, we'll face a disciplined Austin team, and we're counting on the Centenary faithful to show up and cheer loud for all 60 minutes!
Centenary could not keep pace with the Hendrix College Warriors last Saturday night as the Gents fell 64-10 in league game in Conway, Ark. to finish 1-3 on the road this season. Austin College (1-6, 0-4 SCAC) lost at home last weekend to Lyon College, 40-28.
The Gents and 'Roos are meeting for the second time this season after Austin College recorded a 41-15 win over Centenary on Oct. 4 in Sherman, Texas. That first matchup was not considered a conference game. Centenary swept the season series over Austin College last season, 36-17 in Sherman, and 41-21 in Shreveport.
The Gents are averaging 367.3 yards of total offense per game – 257.9 passing and 109.4 rushing and average 18.3 points per game.

Dunn is in the midst of an impressive rookie season as he ranks fourth in the conference in receiving yards per game (85.3) and Butler is third in rushing yards/game (66.3). Getter is averaging 6.7 tackles/game which is good for fifth in the conference.
Butler owns the conference's top two rushing performances of the season, finishing with 234 yards at Lyon on Oct. 18 which was preceded by 159 yards the week before at home against TLU. He was appropriately named to the D3football.com Team of the Week and selected as the SCAC Offensive Player of the Week following his monster performance in the Gents' overtime win at Lyon.
Getter had 18 solo tackles in the Lyon win, the second-most by a SCAC player in a game this season, and was named the SCAC Defensive Player of the Week.
