Katerrio Pennywell Sr. Joins Football Staff As Offensive Line Coach/Run Game Specialist
Katerrio Pennywell Sr. has joined the Centenary football staff as the Offensive Line Coach/Run Game Specialist, Director of Athletics and Recreation David Orr announced.
Shreveport – Katerrio Pennywell Sr. has joined the Centenary football staff as the Offensive Line Coach/Run Game Specialist, Director of Athletics and Recreation David Orr announced.
Pennywell, an Alexandria, La. native, was a member of Grambling State University's 2011 SWAC Championship Team. He joined the Bolton High School staff in 2020 as the offensive line coach and was promoted to Head Coach on the staff for the 2021 season after being with the program for a few months.
After Coaching at Bolton for four years, Pennywell moved on to Washington Marion High School in Lake Charles, La. where he assisted Jules Sullen and served as defensive coordinator and assistant head coach. After one year in Lake Charles, Pennywell returned home again to become the Head Football Coach at his alma mater, Peabody Magnet High School in Alexandria.
Pennywell is a graduate of Grambling where he received his Bachelors (2014) and Masters (2016) degrees in Criminal Justice Administration. Pennywell played offensive line for the Tigers under Keith Wagner (TCU) and Ben Wilkerson (LSU 2004 Remington Trophy Winner). His head coaches during his stint at Grambling were Rod Broadway and Doug Williams (Super Bowl XXII MVP).
Pennywell graduated from Peabody where he was All-District, All-Cenla, and All-State as an offensive lineman. His hobbies are cooking and enjoying time with family and friends.
He and his wife Tei'Erica have three daughters (Madison, Kamryn, & Tatum) and son, Katerrio Pennywell Jr.
