We started Sunday with "crazy make-up day" which put everybody in a great mood and motivated us to have a great team practice. Then we had our first team swim practice. It was so good to see everyone come together as a team and cheer for everyone. This week in the gym the team focused on having good communication and working really hard to recover from injuries. A lot of new skills were done this week, and it was really amazing to see the team working hard to get better. This week we had our first team challenge. The first group came up with the challenge, but very specific about the rules, so the second group used great teamwork to win the challenge. It was fun to watch the groups working together to accomplish their goal. Outside of gym, everyone has been working hard to keep up with homework and studying for tests. Each member of the team is finally getting used to the workload, and settling down into a set routine.
As a team, we supported the Ladies volleyball team at their home game this week. It was fun to hang out together, and support our fellow athletes. We also went to the Ladies Soccer game on Friday night too. Some of the girls "painted up" to show extra support for the Ladies. Saturday morning we volunteered at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. We were in charge of cheering people on as they were running towards the finish line. It was so inspiring to see survivors running with everyone else to find a cure for breast cancer.
Come back next week to see how our team practice goes and all the new things we do next week!
