Most recently, the Ladies volunteered at the Robinson Film Center. With hopes of extending the film center to include a school to teach eager locals about film and film making, a Gala was held to raise money.
Centenary gymnasts helped set up for the event, as well as took the time to handle a variety of tasks including door greeters, serving food, and cleaning dishes.
The Ladies have continued to support the community of Shreveport/Bossier since the beginning of the school year.
"As a team, we all enjoy doing our part in the community," said Centenary gymnast Laura Loy.
"It is a way for us to be positive role models for others. Volunteering is also a great way for us to spend time together and bond with our teammates."
This volunteer event is one of several that Centenary student-athletes have been involved with this semester. The Ladies and Gents of each athletic team represent more than just a student-athlete on campus-they represent members of a valued and supportive community.
The Ladies will open their season on January 16 when they host Texas Women's University at 7:00 pm in the Gold Dome.
