SHREVEPORT-The Centenary gymnastics team looks to square off against Big 12 Missouri on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 pm in the Gold Dome as well as pay tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness with its "Think Pink" night.
The themed day will be third of the season for Centenary and will welcome the Susan G. Komen Foundation to the arena. Fans will have the chance to become more educated on breast cancer as well as provide support by giving a generous donation to the cause.
Any breast cancer survivor will get into the meet free of charge.
Missouri and Centenary haven't met since the 2007-08 season when the Tigers defeated the Ladies, 195.800 to 192.325 in Columbus, MO.
The Ladies look to rebound after falling in their last home meet against SEMO, 190.100 to 192.325.
Sophomore Melody Smith (9.700) and freshman Amanda Holt (9.675) secured top-three honors on the Floor exercise as Smith finished second and Holt took third. Junior Alyssa Zawieja (9.625) placed fourth on the Beam, while redshirt sophomore Tara Sandoval (9.625) also finished in fourth on Bars to lead Centenary. Holt (9.725) tied for fourth on Vault to pace the Ladies in that event.
Following Friday's meet, Centenary will travel to Illinois-Chicago on February 19.
