Ladies Finish Sixth At Crusader Cup
The Centenary women's golf team finished sixth on Tuesday in the Crusader Cup hosted by the University of Dallas as the Ladies shot a 171-over par 747 at Hawk's Creek Golf Club.

The Ladies, who shot an 88-over par 376 on Monday in round one, completed their Fall season on Tuesday. Our Lady of the Lake University won the team title at 21-over par 626 (317-309) and finished well ahead of the field. The host Crusaders finished second at 82-over par 687 (348-339) and 61 strokes behind the Saints. The field was tested this week by a par 72, a 5,648-yard layout.
Millsaps College finished third (95-over par 700), Schreiner University was fourth (98-over 703), Texas Lutheran University was fifth (105-over 710), Lyon College was seventh behind the Ladies at 208-over par 784 (394-390), and Howard Payne University finished eighth at 344-over 920.
Annabella Reyna of Our Lady of the Lake claimed the individual title at 5-over par 149. Reyna, the leader after round one after shooting a 3-over par 75, finished with a 2-over 74 on Tuesday. She finished eight shots better than her teammate, Kendall Ward, who shot a 13-over 157 (78-79). Annie Piggott of Millsaps, who was in second place after Monday's action, finished third at 14-over 158 (77-81). Four Our Lady of the Lake players finished in the top five and all five finished in the top 15.
Freshman Haylee Crowder (Haughton, La.) led the way for the Ladies as she shot a 35-over par 179 (89-90) to tie for 19th place. The rookie was in a tie for 17th place after her 17-over par 89 on Monday and followed with an 18-over par 90 in the final round. Crowder is off to an impressive start to her collegiate career as she has finished in the top 20 in every event this Fall.
Sophomore Mya Thompson (South Jordan, Utah) tied for 21st place at 37-over par 181 after lowering her score by nine strokes from round one to round two. She shot a 23-over par 95 on Monday and followed with a 14-over 86 in round two to move up three spots. Junior Kaylee Roberts (Watonga, Okla.) earned a 30th-place finish as she shot a 47-over par 191 with rounds of 94-97, freshman Amber Shaw (Hughes Springs, Texas) finished 34th (52-over 196 with identical rounds of 98), and sophomore Jordyn Templeton (Columbus, Texas) finished at 64-over 208) after shooting 108-100.
