The Centenary women's golf team finished third in its annual home tournament, the Hal Sutton Invitational, as the Ladies shot a 178-over par 754 as play concludesd on Tuesday at The Golf Club at Stonebridge.

Tyler Junior College won the team title and Annie Piggott of Millsaps College won the individual title after defeating Ayana Dailey of Tyler on the first playoff hole. Freshman Haylee Crowder (Haughton, La.) led the way for the Ladies as she shot a 26-over par 170 (91-79) to tie for 11th place highlighted by a career-low round of 79 on Tuesday.
The Ladies shot a 90-over par 378 on Monday and were in third place headed to Tuesday's final day of competition. The women's field was tested by a par-72, 5,714-yard course and included the host Ladies, Blinn, Hendrix College, Howard Payne University, Jacksonville (TX) College, Louisiana Christian University, McMurry University, Millsaps College, Texas Lutheran University, and Tyler Junior College. Tyler JC shot a 58-over par 634 team total for the tournament with a 38-over 326 on Monday followed by a 20-over par 308 on Tuesday.
Freshman Amber Shaw (Hughes Springs, Texas) finished 17th at 38-over par 182 as she shot rounds of 92-90. Sophomore Jordyn Templeton (Columbus, Texas) and sophomore Mya Thompson (South Jordan, Utah) tied for 30th place at 57-over par 201.
The Ladies will return to action in the West Region Invitational March 31-April 1 at Berry Creek CC in Georgetown, Texas.
