Snell's Tie For Third Highlights Gents' Finish At 2025 SCAC Preview

Westworth Village, Texas – The Centenary men's golf team shot a 36-over par 612 to finish in eighth place in the 2025 SCAC Preview on Tuesday at Hawk's Creek Golf Club.
FINAL RESULTS: Men's Preview
The Gents, sixth after shooting a 12-over par 300 in Monday's opening round, shot a 24-over par 312 on Tuesday. Schreiner University and the University of St. Thomas finished in a tie for first place at 2-over par 578, Texas Lutheran University finished third, Hendrix College fourth, Concordia University and host University of Dallas tied for fifth, McMurry University finished seventh ahead of the gents, and UST's "B" team finished ninth.
UST's Jesus Del Aguila claimed the individual title after shooting a 6-under par 138 to finish two shots ahead of Dallas' Iain Griggs (4-under 140).
Junior Aubrey Snell (Shreveport, La.) led the way for the Gents as he tied for third place at 3-under par 141. Snell shot rounds of 72-69 and finished tied with Schreiner's Ryan Warneke. Snell now has six top-five finishes in his career.
Freshman Trey Bishop (Oklahoma City, Okla.) shot a 7-over par 151 (73-68) to tie for 25th place, freshman Mason Wiener (Holland, Pa.) finished at 11-over 155 (76-79) to tie for 40th place, and senior Jeffrey Borchert (Katy, Texas) finished 65th at 23-over 167 (79-88).
Senior Colton Mayer (Heath, Texas) played as an individual and shot a 25-over par 169 (87-82) to finish 67th and senior Hahn Bridges (Sterlington, La.) shot a 26-over 170 (84-86) to finish in 68th place.
Next up for the Gents is the Belhaven Invitational on Oct. 27-28 at The Refuge GC in Flowood, Miss.
