Gents On Road This Weekend For Two Games

The 2025 Centenary lacrosse team is back in action this weekend with a pair of non-conference games beginning on Friday at 5 p.m. against the LaGrange College Panthers at Panther Field.

LaGrange, Ga.- The 2025 Centenary lacrosse team is back in action this weekend with a pair of non-conference games beginning on Friday at 5 p.m. against the LaGrange College Panthers at Panther Field.

The Gents (0-1) fell 24-7 at Rhodes College on Sunday in their season opener while the Panthers (0-1) lost 9-7 to SCAD-Savannah on Sunday at home. Centenary and LaGrange will meet for the third time with the Panthers winning the two previous meetings in 2020 and 2023.

The Gents trailed 5-4 after the first quarter against the Lynx on Sunday, but the Maroon and White were outscored 7-1 in the second period to fall behind 12-5 at halftime and then Rhodes outscored the Gents 12-2 in the second half to cruise to the win.

Freshman A Gamble Harvill (Bossier City, La.) had an impressive collegiate debut as he led the Gents with three goals, senior M Jordan Cook (Bryant, Ark.) scored two, and Centenary got one goal apiece from sophomore A Gibson Harvill (Bossier, City, La.) and freshman D Carter Romero (Lafayette, La.). Cook, sophomore M Ethan Hewett (Bossier City, La.), and senior A G'Colby Spivey (Dallas, Texas) all recorded assists in the game.

The Gents wrap up the weekend on Sunday with a matchup versus the Huntingdon College Hawks (1-1) in Montgomery, Ala. at Noon.
