The Centenary lacrosse team has been selected as Centenary Athletics' "Team of the Week" after the Gents completed an undefeated road weekend with victories over Wilmington College and Spalding University.
Shreveport- The Centenary lacrosse team has been selected as Centenary Athletics' "Team of the Week" after the Gents completed an undefeated road weekend with victories over Wilmington College and Spalding University.
The Gents (4-4) defeated Wilmington 24-11 on Saturday in Wilmington, Ohio and capped the impressive weekend with a 21-16 victory over Spalding in Louisville, Ky. on Sunday.
Freshman A Gamble Harvill (Bossier City, La.) scored 10 goals in the two games, sophomore M Ethan Hewett (Bossier City, La.) and senior A G'Colby Spivey (Dallas, Texas) each scored nine, and senior M Jordan Cook (Bryant, Ark.) finished with eight. Sophomore A Gibson Harvill (Bossier, City, La.) scored five times, freshman A/M Connor Shaver (Leander, Texas) added three, and senior MF Chris Masterson (Zachary, La.) scored one.
Cook led the way in assists with 10, Spivey and Shaver each had five, Gamble Harvill and Gibson Harvill each had four Hewett had three, and freshman D Landon Mosley (Shreveport, La.) had two.
Senior GK Dylan Miller (Shreveport, La.) went the distance in goal last weekend and recorded 17 saves and now has 128 this season.
Centenary returns to action this Saturday as the Maroon and White will face Hendrix College at Noon in Conway, Ark.
