The Ladies are back in action for the first time since they wrapped up a busy weekend in the Midwest on Sunday, Jan. 18 with a second-place finish against Illinois State University in Normal, Ill.
Centenary is back in action for the first time in nearly three weeks as its Jan. 24 meet at Greenville was postponed due to winter weather and has been rescheduled for Friday, March 13 at 4 PM. The Panthers are in action for the first time since a second-place finish at UW- La Crosse on Jan. 16. The Ladies are 83rd in this week's Road to Nationals rankings while the Panthers check in at 81st.
The Ladies finished with a 185.575 team score while the host Redbirds posted a winning score of 193.700. Centenary earned a season-best team score of 185.700 to finish third in the 2026 Windy City Invite on Jan. 16 in Chicago. The Ladies' best event score on Jan. 18 against ISU was a 47.375 on floor, followed by a season-high 46.950 on vault, a 45.775 on beam, and a season-best 45.475 on bars.
Sophomore Anna Ichiba (Murphy, Texas) highlighted the ISU meet for the Ladies as she won on beam with a season and career-high 9.80. Junior Olivia Williams (Cape Coral, Fla.) recorded the Ladies' top score on floor (9.725) on floor as she tied her season high to tie for fourth place.
Ichiba was the Jan. 21 recipient of the Midwest Independent Conference Performance of the Week Award as she earned one of the four individual honors that the conference chooses on a weekly basis and received it for the first time in her career.
Senior Amy Foret (Bedford, Texas) tied for sixth place on vault for the Ladies' best finish (9.575), sophomore Peyton Burford (West Monroe, La.) was eighth with a season-best 9.50, and sophomore Olivia Montgomery (Willard, Mo.) finished ninth with a 9.40. Freshman Nyah Washington (Farmington, Minn.) had Centenary's best finish on bars as she tied for fifth with a 9.45, senior Claire Flores (Oklahoma City, Okla.) finished eighth on floor (9.45), Ichiba was ninth (9.425), and Foret 10th (9.40).
In the Windy City Invite on Jan. 16 in Chicago, the Ladies' top event score was a season-high 47.425 on floor followed by a 46.500 on vault, a season-best 46.450 on beam, and a 45.325 on bars. Williams recorded the Ladies' top score of the meet with a season-high 9.725 on floor. Foret had a solid meet with a 9.55 on floor and a 9.425 on vault. Ichiba had the Ladies' top score on beam (9.50).
Flores had an impressive evening as she finished with a 9.50 on floor, a 9.40 on vault, and the Ladies' top score on bars (9.375), all of which were season highs.
Sophomore Skyla Cruz (El Paso, Texas) recorded a season and career-high 9.45 on beam, Burford had a season-high 9.45 on vault, and Montgomery scored a season-best 9.475 on vault.
The Ladies finished third in their season-opening meet on Jan. 11, the Bulldog Invitational. That meet was a quad meet versus host Fisk University, Wilberforce University, and Greenville, as the Ladies earned a team score of 182.500.
Williams and Foret each recorded an impressive 9.675 on floor to tie for second as they were the Ladies' best individual score of the meet.
Junior Hayden Cagle (Austin, Texas) earned a new career-high 9.475 on beam to finish fifth, Foret had a 9.35 on beam to place sixth, and Ichiba made her debut on floor and scored a 9.375 and junior Brooke Murdock (Garland, Texas) had a 9.35.
Foret had the Ladies' best score on vault (9.525) to finish third, Burford was next with a 9.40, Flores had a 9.375, and Washington scored a 9.35 in her collegiate debut.
