Ladies Set To Host Fisk And Wilberforce On Senior Night

The Ladies are 79th in this week's Road to Nationals rankings while the Bulldogs of Fisk are 78th and the Bulldogs of Wilberforce are 86th. Fisk is a division III school located in Nashville, Tenn. while Wilberforce is a division III school located in Wilberforce, Ohio.
SENSATIONAL SENIORS: Centenary's trio of seniors will be honored on Friday - Claire Flores (Oklahoma City, Okla.), Amy Foret (Bedford, Texas), and Olivia Stratmann (Houston, Texas).
FAMILIAR FACES: The pair of Bulldogs and the Ladies opened the season against each other in Nashville on Jan. 11 in a quad meet hosted by Fisk that also included Greenville University as the Ladies earned a team score of 182.500. The next weekend the three teams met again in the Windy City Invite in Chicago where the Ladies earned a team score of 185.700 to finish third.
LAST TIME OUT: The Ladies posted a team score of 187.675 to finish second against the host University of Alaska Anchorage Seawolves on Sunday, Feb. 22 in a non-conference dual meet in Anchorage, Alaska.
The teams were meeting for the second time during the weekend after they first squared off on Friday, Feb. 20 as Centenary posted a 188.125 team score in the Ladies' first visit to Anchorage since the 2022 season.
Sophomore Skyla Cruz (El Paso, Texas) finished second on beam with a 9.75 and sophomore Chloe Gilbert (Pflugerville, Texas) had a season-high 9.70 to tie for third. Amy Foret finished seventh in beam with a strong 9.65.
Foret and junior Olivia Williams (Cape Coral, Fla.) tied for third on floor (9.575) and Olivia Stratmann had a season-high 9.525 on bars to finish third. Sophomore Erin Pinder (Bridgetown Barbados) tied her season-high on bars (9.40) to finish sixth.
Sophomore Anna Ichiba (Murphy, Texas) led the way on vault for the Ladies with a 9.60 to finish fifth while Foret tied for sixth (9.55). Sophomore Peyton Burford (West Monroe, La.) and sophomore Olivia Montgomery (Willard, Mo.) tied for ninth place (9.50) as Montgomery tied her season high.
In the Feb. 20 meet, freshman Leila Dunlavy (Twin Falls, Idaho) had a season-best 9.625 on vault to finish second, Amy Foret finished fourth with a 9.575, and senior Claire Flores (Oklahoma City, Okla.) earned a 9.55 and finished sixth.
Peyton Burford finished ninth on vault with a 9.475 and Anna Ichiba was 10th with a 9.40.
Skyla Cruz had a 9.70 on beam, her second-highest score of the season, to finish third and Foret tied for fourth place with a 9.675 to tie her season high while Ichiba had a 9.55 to tie for seventh.
Foret and Olivia Williams tied for second place on floor (9.70), Ichiba was fifth with a season-high 9.60, and freshman Nyah Washington (Farmington, Minn.) finished eighth with a 9.45. Stratmann had a season-high 9.50 on bars to finish fifth and led the Ladies in the event.
AWARD WINNERS:
Leila Dunlavy, Molly English, and Anna Ichiba have all been the recipient of the Midwest Independent Conference (MIC) Coaches' Choice Award this season while Ichiba was also the recipient of the Performance of the Week Award in January following her win on beam with a season and career-high 9.80 against llinois State University.
