Gents Welcome Spalding University To Town For Senior Day Matchup
The Centenary lacrosse team will face Spalding University on Senior Day as the Gents and Golden Eagles will meet in a non-conference contest on Saturday at 11 AM at Atkins Field.
Shreveport – The Centenary lacrosse team will face Spalding University on Senior Day as the Gents and Golden Eagles will meet in a non-conference contest on Saturday at 11 AM at Atkins Field.
Centenary's senior class will be honored in a pregame ceremony at approximately 10:30 AM.

The Gents (8-0) remained unbeaten after hammering Heidelberg University 15-3 on Tuesday night in a non-conference game at Atkins Field. Centenary led 9-1 at halftime and cruised to the win as they improved to 4-0 at home.
The Golden Eagles (1-5) lost 21-9 at Hendrix College on Thursday and are 0-4 on the road this season. Centenary is 3-0 all-time against Spalding with wins the last two seasons in Louisville, Ky. and a home win in 2023.
Sophomore A Noah Walsh (Mount Prospect, Ill.) scored a game-high five goals to lead the Gents in Tuesday's win and sophomore A Gamble Harvill (Bossier City, La.) was right behind him with four. Junior M Ethan Hewett (Bossier City, La.) and freshman FO Gavin Ferrington (Bossier City, La.) each scored a pair and freshman MF Andrew Hayden (Bryant, Ark.) and sophomore MF Cooper Harris (Lexington, Ky.) each scored one.
Walsh had four assists and Hewett had three while freshman O/MF Aiden McQuat (Lafayette, La.) and junior MF Dominic Ogier (St. Louis, Mo.) each tallied one.
Freshman GK Jake Huff (Carlisle, Mass.) made 12 saves before yielding to freshman GK Ethan Young (Harvey, La.) for the final 2:26.
Freshman FO Gavin Ferrington (Bossier City, La.) went 9-11 on face offs, freshman FO/MF Sean Nadler (Shreveport, La.) was 7-8, and senior MF Chris Masterson (Zachary, La.) was 2-3.
Ferrington also had a team-high seven ground balls, Nadler four, sophomore D Landon Mosley (Shreveport, La.) picked up three, and Hayden had two. Centenary finished with 12 caused turnovers, led by five from freshman D Grant McGuire (Benton, Ark.).
Hewett and Walsh were named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association 2026 Division III Men's Lacrosse Team of the Week on Wednesday.
Players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week. Hewett was named to the prestigious team for the first time this season while Walsh was recognized for the second time after making the team on Feb. 19.
The Gents have now scored a whopping 176 goals this season and are averaging 22 per game. The Maroon and White have scored at least 13 in all eight games and 20 or more in six. Harvill leads the way with 53 goals, Walsh has 37, Hewett 26, and McQuat 21. Walsh's 57 assists lead the team followed by Hewett's 15.
Centenary has led the country in nearly all offensive categories this season and entered play this week first in goals scored, assists, points, and Face-Off Winning % and were top 12 in in clearing % and ground balls.
Harvill leads the country in goals and goals per game while Walsh leads the way in assists and assists/game and was also ranked in the top 10 in goals/game. Walsh was the national leader in points/game and Harvill was third. Ferrington leads the country in Face-Off Winning % and the rookie also ranked seventh in ground balls/game and leads the nation in total ground balls.
