Baseball Falls 7-5 To Texas Lutheran On Friday
The Centenary baseball team fell 7-5 in the finale of a three-game Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference series on Friday against the nationally-ranked Texas Lutheran University Bulldogs at Katt-Isbel Field.
Seguin, Texas - The Centenary baseball team fell 7-5 in the finale of a three-game Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference series on Friday against the nationally-ranked Texas Lutheran University Bulldogs at Katt-Isbel Field.
The Diamond Gents (15-16, 10-11 SCAC) won the series after sweeping a doubleheader on Thursday, winning game one 5-4 in dramatic fashion and rallying from an early deficit to win 10-6 in game two against the No. 20/24 Bulldogs (20-9, 15-6 SCAC).
Centenary is now 9-12 on the road and TLU is 12-4 at home. The Bulldogs, atop the conference standings, are ranked 20th in the latest D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25 poll and 24th in the ABCA NCAA Division III Baseball Coaches Poll.
