Baseball Sweeps McMurry On Friday
The Centenary baseball team continued its impressive play on the road as the Diamond Gents swept the McMurry University War Hawks in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader on Friday, winning game one by a score of 6-4 and game two 11-1 at Walt Driggers Field.

Abilene, Texas - The Centenary baseball team continued its impressive play on the road as the Diamond Gents swept the McMurry University War Hawks in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader on Friday, winning game one by a score of 6-4 and game two 11-1 at Walt Driggers Field.

The Diamond Gents clinched their fourth-straight series win and aim for their first sweep of a series this season. Centenary swept a DH for the second week in a row after defeating Texas Lutheran twice last Friday in Seguin, Texas. Centenary, 8-3 in its last 11 games, improved to 11-12 on the road this season.
The 2026 SCAC Baseball Tournament will be held at The Depot at Cleburne Station in Cleburne, Texas as the double-elimination tournament will begin on April 30 and will feature six teams. The Diamond Gents are currently in sixth place in the conference standings.
