Ladies Drop Pair of Matches On Friday In Millsaps College Volleyball Invitational
The Centenary volleyball team returned to the court on Friday for the first time in nearly two weeks as the Ladies dropped a pair of non-conference matches in the Millsaps College Volleyball Invitational, 3-0 to the host Majors and 3-0 to the Lyon College Scots inside the Hangar Dome.

Jackson, Miss. - The Centenary volleyball team returned to the court on Friday for the first time in nearly two weeks as the Ladies dropped a pair of non-conference matches in the Millsaps College Volleyball Invitational, 3-0 to the host Majors and 3-0 to the Lyon College Scots inside the Hangar Dome.
The Ladies (1-2) had not played since opening their season on Aug. 30 with a home win over the Wiley University Wildcats while the Majors improved to 7-4 with the win. The full tournament field is comprised of Millsaps, Belhaven, Centenary, Huntingdon, Lyon, and the University of Dallas. The Scots improved to 2-5 with their win over the Ladies on Friday.
Match One Recap: Millsaps 3 Centenary 0
The Majors opened the match with a 25-20 win in set one, won set two 25-14, and closed out the sweep with a 25-9 win in set three.
The Ladies finished with 35 digs, 18 kills, 17 assists, and two service aces while the Majors tallied 43 digs, 38 kills, 33 assists, and 12 aces. Millsaps finished with a .275 hitting % (91 total attacks and 13 errors) for the match while Centenary finished at 0.64 % (78 total attacks and 13 errors).

The Scots took the first set, 25-10, won set two 25-16, and closed out the set with a 25-18 win in set three.
The Ladies finished with 23 digs, 20 assists, 20 kills, and one block while the Scots recorded 40 kills, 38 digs, 35 assists, 12 aces, and one block.

Centenary will wrap up the weekend with a pair of matches on Saturday, which will both be played at Belhaven University – versus the Belhaven Blazers (2-6) at 2 PM and then against Huntingdon College (7-4) at 4 PM.
