The Ladies (2-12, 1-7 SCAC) dropped a pair of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference matches on the road over the weekend to Austin College (3-0) and the University of Dallas (3-2). Centenary is 0-6 on the road this season and is aiming to snap a five-match losing streak on Tuesday.
The Tigers, ranked #2 in the latest AVCA/TARAFLEX Division III WVB Poll, swept both Centre College and Hendrix College at home last week to remain unbeaten this season at 20-0 overall, 3-0 in conference play, and 6-0 at home.
Tuesday will be the second meeting between the teams this season following a sweep by the Tigers in Shreveport back on Sept. 16. In that match, ETBU won the first set, 25-16, took the second set 25-2, and closed out the sweep with a 25-13 count in set three. Centenary finished with 22 digs, 17 kills, 16 assists, three aces, and two solo blocks while ETBU tallied 47 kills, 45 digs, 33 assists, seven aces, and three solo blocks.
The Tigers finished with a .421 hitting percentage (95 total attacks and seven errors) to the Ladies' .057 as the Maroon and White committed 12 errors on 87 total attacks. ETBU had 45 total attacks in set one with 19 kills and three errors, 20 total attacks in set two with 11 kills and no errors, and in 30 total attacks in the third and final set the visitors recorded 17 kills against four errors in 30 total attacks.
The Ladies had nine kills and two errors in 34 total attacks in set one, two kills and six errors in 26 total attacks in the second set, and six kills and four errors in 27 total attacks in set three.
The Ladies have 483 digs, 357 kills, 324 assists, 91 aces, and 17 solo blocks this season.
