The Centenary volleyball team is back on the road this weekend for a pair of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference matches beginning with a contest against the Austin College ‘Roos set for 6 PM inside Hughey Gym.

The Ladies (2-10, 1-5 SCAC) went winless on the road in league play last weekend at a conference divisional hosted by Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas. Centenary was swept on Friday by the host Bulldogs and were also swept on Saturday by Schreiner University and Concordia University. The Ladies are 0-4 on the road this season.
The 'Roos (10-6, 4-2 SCAC) are 5-0 at home this season and won two of three matches in conference play last weekend in Houston, beating Colorado College and McMurry University and falling to the host Celts of the University of St. Thomas. Austin College leads the all-time series with Centenary 23-4 and swept a pair of matches from the Ladies last season.
The Ladies have 400 digs, 290 kills, 264 assists, 76 aces, and 10 solo blocks this season.

Harris continued her impressive season last weekend as she totaled 19 assists, 10 digs, seven kills, an ace, and one solo block, Garcia had another solid weekend as she totaled 30 digs, 15 kills, three aces, and two assists., and junior OH/DS Destiny Labbe (Eunice, La.), had 12 kills and 10 digs last weekend.
Sophomore MB Laijah Rockward (Houma, La.) ranks third on the team in aces (11) and fourth in kills (46) and also has 14 digs, three solo blocks, and a pair of assists, junior S/DS Hannah Dimmel (Navasota, Texas) has 30 digs, six assists, four aces, and two kills while freshman OH Bella Baker (White Oak, Texas) has 15 digs, 15 kills, and three assists.
Freshman DS/S Elizabeth Castillo (Austin, Texas) ranks third on the team in assists (15) and fifth in digs with 38 and freshman DS/L Isela Castillo (Arlington, Texas) has 30 digs, two aces, two assists, and one kill.
The Ladies will face the University of Dallas on Saturday in Irving, Texas at 1 PM to finish off the weekend. The Crusaders (1-17, 0-6 SCAC) will face LeTourneau University at home on Friday.
The SCAC utilizes divisional alignment was put into place prior to the 2024 season with modifications made to adapt to changing membership. Austin College, Centenary, and Dallas remain in the Blue Division while University of Ozarks, in its first year of varsity competition, and the league's two newest members - Hendrix and LeTourneau - will also compete in the Blue Division.
Three former Blue Division schools - Colorado College, McMurry, and St. Thomas - make the move to the Gold Division where Concordia (Texas), Schreiner, and Texas Lutheran continue to reside.
Just as last season, teams within their division will play a double round robin, teams outside of their division will play a single round robin, giving all teams a 16-game conference schedule in 2025.
Following the completion of the regular season, the top team from each division will qualify and earn a first-round bye into the single-elimination conference tournament. The next four best conference records (regardless of division) will also qualify and will play in the quarterfinal round. Hosted by Schreiner University and slated for Friday and Saturday, Nov. 14 and 15, this year's postseason tournament winner will earn the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
