Ladies Swept By Bulldogs On Friday Night
The Centenary volleyball team was swept in straight sets by the Texas Lutheran University Bulldogs in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match as part of a conference divisional on Friday night inside Memorial Gymnasium.

Seguin, Texas – The Centenary volleyball team was swept in straight sets by the Texas Lutheran University Bulldogs in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match as part of a conference divisional on Friday night inside Memorial Gymnasium.
Centenary (2-8, 1-3 SCAC) will play twice on Saturday – against Schreiner University at 11:30 AM and then against Concordia University at 7 PM. Texas Lutheran (5-9, 2-3 SCAC) is now 1-2 at home this season while the Ladies are 0-4 on the road.
The Bulldogs took the first set, 25-12, then won set two by a score of 25-13, and closed out the sweep with a 25-11 win in set three. The Ladies finished with 34 digs, 18 assists, 18 kills, two service aces, and one solo block while the Bulldogs recorded 46 digs, 38 kills, 35 assists, eight aces, and four solo blocks.

Aces: Junior S/DS Hannah Dimmel (Navasota, Texas) and freshman S Lillian Mycke (Athens, Texas) – 1 each
Assists: Mycke – 11
Blocks: Sophomore S Jadyn Harris (Fort Worth, Texas) – 1
Digs: Freshman OH/DS Zoe Garcia (Magnolia, Texas) – 14
Kills: Garcia – 5
Harris finished with five assists, three kills, and two digs and Dimmel's nine digs were second to only Garcia's team-leading 14 and she had one assist. Garcia nearly matched her season high of 15 digs set in the win against the University of Ozarks on Sunday as she continued her impressive rookie season.
Freshman MB Aley Dixon (White Oak, Texas) tallied four kills and an assist, junior OH/DS Destiny Labbe (Eunice, La.) added three kills, and freshman DS/L Isela Castillo (Arlington, Texas) had four digs. Sophomore MB Laijah Rockward (Houma, La.) chipped in three kills and one dig and freshman DS/S Elizabeth Castillo (Austin, Texas) had a dig.
