Shreveport – The Centenary gymnastics team finished third in a tri-meet on Monday afternoon versus SEMO (Southeast Missouri State University) and West Chester University in the Ladies' home debut inside the Gold Dome.

- Centenary – 185.325
The SEMO Red Hawks won the meet with a winning score of 192.325 and the West Chester Golden Rams placed second (189.725). Centenary posted a 46.875 on vault, its best event score of the meet, and finished with a 46.200 on floor, a 46.150 on bars, and a 46.100 on beam.

Senior Sophie Schmitz (Trophy Club, Texas) competed in the All-Around and finished second with a 38.025 as her best score of the meet was a 9.55 on bars, which earned her a fifth-place finish and she tied for ninth place on beam with a 9.60. Schmitz and freshman Peyton Burford (West Monroe, La.) tied for seventh place on vault (9.50) and sophomore Olivia Williams (Cape Coral, Fla.) was the Ladies' top finisher on floor with an impressive 9.625 to tie for eighth.
The Ladies are back on the road this weekend in Bridgeport, Conn. for a quad meet against host University of Bridgeport, West Chester, and Cornell University on Saturday. Centenary's next home meet is on Friday, Jan. 31 against Greeneville University (6 p.m.).
