Sunday's meet features the host Gophers who are ranked 15th in this week's Road to Nationals rankings, the Hawkeyes of Iowa who are 33rd, and the Sharks of LIU who are 65th. The Ladies check in at 81st this week in the RTN rankings.
The Ladies recorded a season-high 192.175 team score last Saturday at home versus the Fisk University Bulldogs in a non-conference dual meet to finish second on Senior Night inside the Gold Dome.
Fisk won the meet with a team score of 193.025 to edge Centenary in a competitive meet as the Ladies honored their 2025 senior class - Emma Lavelle (Mandeville, La.), Sophie Schmitz (Trophy Club, Texas), and Mylia Vidtor (The Colony, Texas).
Centenary topped 190.00 for the first this season and its team score is the Ladies' highest since recording a 190.325 last season against Texas Woman's University and the Maroon and White scored 192.00 or better for the first time since recording a 192.475 on March 11, 2023 at home versus Lindenwood University.
The Ladies earned season-best scores on vault (47.875) and bars (48.150) on Saturday, tied their season-high on floor (48.100), and recorded their second-best score on beam (48.050).
Junior Olivia Stratmann (Houston, Texas) won the bars competition with a season and career-high 9.725 and her teammate, junior Claire Flores (Oklahoma City, Okla.), tied for second with a 9.70 and Schmitz was fifth (9.65). Freshman Chloe Gilbert (Pflugerville, Texas) won on beam with a new season and career-high 9.775 and sophomore Olivia Williams (Cape Coral, Fla.) won on floor with a season and career-high 9.80 and also posted a new career high on bars (9.425).
Flores finished third on floor with a season and career-best 9.70 and Lavelle tied for seventh with a season-high 9.60. Lavelle also placed third on beam with a 9.75 and Schmitz tied for fourth with a season and career-best 9.725. Vidtor finished seventh on beam with a season and career-high 9.70 and freshman Erin Pinder (Bridgetown Barbados) was eighth on bars with a 9.575. Freshman Olivia Montgomery (Willard, Mo.) finished in a tie for fourth on vault with a season-best 9.60 and freshman Peyton Burford (West Monroe, La.) earned a season and career-best 9.575 to finish seventh. Flores finished third on vault with a season and career-best 9.65, just ahead of Montgomery. Lavelle also matched her season high on bars (9.50).
Sophomore Hayden Cagle (Austin, Texas) and freshman Molly English (Newnan, Ga.) tied for eight on vault (9.525) as each tallied season and career highs and Schmitz, who also had a season-high 9.525 on floor, finished third in the All-Around with a season and career-best 38.375.
