TWU Claims WCGNIC Team Title
The Texas Woman's University Pioneers won the team title in the 2025 Women's Collegiate Gymnastics National Invitational Championships on Saturday night as the Pioneers recorded a winning score of 196.175 inside the Gold Dome.

The Pioneers claimed the title over the Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) Gymhawks who finished with a 195.025 team score. The University of Bridgeport Purple Knights finished third (193.600) and the West Chester University Golden Rams finished fourth (190.850).
SEMO and Bridgeport finished first and second respectively in the opening session on Friday afternoon while TWU won the evening session and West Chester finished second as all four teams earned their spots in Saturday evening's team finals.
The prestigious event, formerly named the USA Gymnastics Women's Collegiate National Championships, concludes on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. with the individual event finals.

The top five individual scores on each event from the two sessions on Friday advanced to Sunday's event finals. The individual all-around results were based off of Friday's sessions.
The complete list of individuals who qualified to compete in Sunday's finals is below. Senior Emma Lavelle (Mandeville, La.) will represent the Ladies in Sunday's individual finals following her team-high and career-high score of 9.775 on floor and Lavelle has earned First-Team All-American status based on her appearance in the individual finals. All individuals listed below have earned First-Team All-American status. The gymnasts are listed below in the order in which they will compete on their respective events.

SATURDAY'S TEAM FINALS RECAP:
The victorious Pioneers recorded their highest event score on beam as they earned a 49.325 followed by a 49.125 on bars. TWU tallied a 48.900 on floor and a 48.825 on vault.
The Pioneers won on bars, beam, and floor as Caroline Bowns claimed victory on bars (9.90), Sophie Hernandez won on beam (9.90), and Bailey Upton claimed a victory on floor with a 9.825. Kaitlyn Hoiland (9.80) tied for second on vault for the Pioneers' top finish in that event as he tied with her teammate Trinity Caffey and Bridgeport's Abigail Kenney.
A pair of TWU gymnasts, Alaina Reid and Sophia Isbell, tied for fifth place on vault as each scored a 9.775. TWU's Brooke Ferrari finished second on bars with a 9.875 and the Pioneers' Bailey Bourgeois scored a 9.825 to finish fourth.
TWU dominated on beam as the top six finishers were Pioneer gymnasts. Sophia Isbell (9.875) finished second behind Hernandez and four Pioneers - Bailey Upton, Hoiland, and Emma Brkljacic, and Steelie King all tied for third at 9.85. Hernandez tied for second on floor and Isbell tied for fifth.
SEMO's Taylor Ingle won on vault with a 9.85 and she claimed the All-Around title (39.250) to edge Abigail Kenney (39.125).
