Sophie Schmitz Named First-Team All-MIC
Senior Sophie Schmitz (Trophy Club, Texas) was named First-Team All-Midwest Independent Conference after she finished third in the All-Around with a score of 37.900 at last month's MIC Championships held in the Gold Dome.
Shreveport- Senior Sophie Schmitz (Trophy Club, Texas) was named First-Team All-Midwest Independent Conference after she finished third in the All-Around with a score of 37.900 at last month's MIC Championships held in the Gold Dome.
Schmitz and the Ladies finished fourth in the annual event in which they hosted on March 21 as the Ladies earned a team score of 189.200. The Ladies, serving as host for the event for the first time since 2019, welcomed fellow MIC members Illinois State University, Southeast Missouri State University, and Texas Woman's University to town for the prestigious event.
The Ladies finished with a 48.100 on bars, a 47.350 on vault, and an identical 46.875 on both beam and floor.
