JONESBORO, Ark.�-Mark Weeber's final round of 73 wasn't enough to elevate the Centenary men's golf team to higher finish after day one. The Gents (316-314-317) completed the Arkansas State Red Wolf Classic with a three-round score of 947 to finish in 14th place.
Centenary was just 12 strokes shy of Texas Pan American, who finished in 13th place. Louisiana-Lafayette (289-293-285) was able to capture the team title after cutting eight shots off their second round to tally an 867 on the tournament.
For Centenary, Weeber (75-84-73) led the way finishing in 63rd among the pack with a 54-hole score of 232. Teammate Tyler Williams (82-77-80) posted a 239, placing 75th, while Nick Faitz (80-82-80) and Ryan Sparks (81-77-84) tied for 78th with a total of 242.
Behind UL-Lafayette in second was Arkansas State (296-285-289, 870), meanwhile Oral Roberts (298-283-294, 875) added 11 strokes to their second round on day two to finish third.
Jad Sinclair (71-70-70) of Central Arkansas took home first place in a one-hole playoff to finish with a total of 211. He was able to knock off Todd Obergoenner (71-68-72) of Southern Illinois and Kyle Pritchard (68-71-72) of ULL to capture the individual title.
The Gents will conclude their season at The Summit League Championship held in Kansas City, MO., on April 27-28.�
