HUNTSVILLE, Texas�- The Centenary men's golf team showed improvement in its final round at the Sam Houston State Elkins Lake Fall Invitational. The Gents (304-311-305) shot a 920 for the two-day event and finished the tournament 71 strokes behind Sam Houston State (285-281-283), who won with an 849.

Leading Centenary was Nick Faitz (76-77-74), who tied for 38th after shooting a 227, but was 22 strokes behind first Anthony Michael (66-72-67) of Oklahoma City University. Tying for 44th was freshman Denver Green (83-74-74, 231), who improved after his first round score.

Finishing in a tie for 49th was Greg Berthelot (76-81-77) and Mark Weeber (76-81-80), who shot a 234 for their three rounds. Rounding out the Gents golfers was Tyler Williams (79-79-80), who was in 58th place after shooting in 238. �

Centenary will finish out its fall season on Monday, Oct. 27, and Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Texas-Arlington Tournament.
