The Gents, playing in their second tournament of the spring season after finishing 10th in the Space City Classic last week, finished at 38-over par 902. Centenary shot a 17-over par 593 (289-304) on Monday and followed with a 21-over 309 in Tuesday's final round.

Central College (Iowa) finished sixth, LeTourneau's "C" team placed eighth, East Texas Baptist University finished ninth, Lakeland University 10th, Baldwin Wallace University finished 11th, and Jacksonville College was 12th.
Bennett and three golfers finished in a four-way tie for first place at 5-under par 211 and UT Dallas' Parker McCurdy defeated LeTourneau's Corbin Barton with a birdie putt on the fourth playoff hole to claim the individual title.
Bennett, who was at 6-under par 138 after consecutive rounds of 69 on Monday, entered Tuesday's final round one shot ahead of McCurdy (-5 - 139) who shot 69-70 on Monday. Kaiden Schneider of LETU was the fourth golfer who tied for the individual title.

Bennett was back at a very familiar course for the final time in his stellar career as he earned a runner-up finish at Pinecrest CC in 2023, finishing one shot shy of an individual title. Bennett now owns a trio of career outright wins, Tuesday's tie for an individual title, 10 top-five finishes, and 13 top-10 finishes as he continues to add to his legacy as the top golfer in the division III era of the program. Bennett, the 2024 SCAC Individual Champion and Men's Golfer of the Year, tied for sixth, tied for second, and finished first in three tournaments this past Fall and finished 17th last week in the Space City Classic. He won the individual title at the Crusader Cup on Oct. 29.
The Gents will host their annual home tournament, the Hal Sutton Invitational at The Golf Club at Stonebridge (March 17-18), and play in the West Regional Invitational at Berry Creek Country Club in Georgetown, Texas on March 31-April 1. The annual SCAC Championships return to Whitney, Texas and will be played at White Bluff Golf Resort April 13-15.
