Gents Finish Fifth In West Region Invitational
The Centenary men's golf team finished fifth in the West Region Invitational hosted by Southwestern University as the Gents shot a 67-over par 931 for the tournament at Berry Creek Country Club.
Georgetown, Texas - The Centenary men's golf team finished fifth in the West Region Invitational hosted by Southwestern University as the Gents shot a 67-over par 931 for the tournament at Berry Creek Country Club.

The Gents, who shot a 44-over par 620 on Monday in the first two rounds and were tied for fifth, shot a 23-over 311 in Tuesday's final round. LeTourneau University won the team title after shooting a 5-over par 869 (288-284-297) to finish 13 shots ahead of Trinity University (292-286-304 – 882).
The field included host Southwestern, the Gents, Hardin-Simmons University, Howard Payne University, LeTourneau, Trinity, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, and the University of Northwestern-St. Paul. The men were challenged by a par 72, 6,536-yard layout.
Trinity's Carter Code claimed the individual title after shooting a 3-under par 213 to finish three shots ahead of two golfers - LETU's Kaiden Schneider and UMHB's Evan Acevedo, who each finished at even-par 216.
Sophomore Aubrey Snell (Shreveport, La.) and senior Andrew Bennett (Bossier City, La.) each tied for 25th place to lead the way for the Gents, shooting 13-over par 229. Snell shot rounds of 78-76-75 while Bennett carded rounds of 81-73-75.
Freshman Ryder Briggs (Blanchard, La.) finished 32nd at 20-over 236, junior Jeffrey Borchert (Katy, Texas) finished 34th at 21-over 237, and junior Colton Mayer (Heath, Texas) finished 51st at 53-over 269.
Next up for the Gents is the 2025 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships April 13-15 at White Bluff Golf Resort in Whitney, Texas.
