Golf Teams Open Season At SCAC Preview
The Centenary men's and women’s golf teams begins their 2024-25 season on Monday in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Fall Preview at White Bluff Golf Resort.
Whitney, Texas – The Centenary men's and women's golf teams begins their 2024-25 season on Monday in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Fall Preview at White Bluff Golf Resort.
The Ladies and Gents return to the site of last season's SCAC Championships which saw senior Andrew Bennett (Bossier City, La.) claim the individual men's title. The University of St. Thomas is the designated host of the tournament this week.
The field will play 18 holes each day and tee off between 10 a.m. and Noon on Monday with 8:30 a.m. shotgun starts to follow on Tuesday. The men and women will each play a par-72 layout with the men's yardage consisting of 6,985 yards and the women's total yardage of 5,818 yards.
The men's lineup will consist of Bennett, sophomore Aubrey Snell (Shreveport, La.), junior Jeffrey Borchert (Katy, Texas), senior Tyler Jones (Stonewall, La.), and freshman Ryder Briggs.
The women's lineup will be freshman Haylee Crowder, junior Kaylee Roberts (Watonga, Okla.), sophomore Jordyn Templeton (Columbus, Texas), sophomore Mya Thompson (South Jordan, Utah), and freshman Amber Shaw.
Men's Field: Centenary College, Concordia University, The University of Dallas, McMurry University, Schreiner University, Southwestern University, the University of St. Thomas (HOST), Texas Lutheran University, and Trinity University.
Women's Field: Centenary College, Concordia University, The University of Dallas, McMurry University, Schreiner University, Southwestern University, the University of St. Thomas (HOST), and Texas Lutheran University.
