Gents Back On Court For Exhibition Contest At Grambling On Tuesday
The Centenary men's basketball team returns to the court on Tuesday as the Gents will face the Grambling State University Tigers in an exhibition contest set for NOON at Willis Reed Court at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.

The Gents (1-8) are back in action for the first time since falling 91-75 to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Cru in a non-conference contest on Dec. 19 at home. The Tigers (5-7) are 2-0 at home this season and lost 89-63 at Ohio State last Tuesday in their most recent action.
Centenary fell behind the Cru 43-35 at halftime on Dec. 19 and was outscored 48-40 in the second half and four players reached double figures, led by 25 from senior G Quentin Beverly (Katy, Texas). Freshman G/F Kane Broussard (Iowa, La.) had 15, freshman C Bryce Evans (Austin, Texas) scored 13, and senior G Craig Collier (North Little Rock, Ark.) added 12.
The Gents are averaging 68.3 PPG, shoot 40.6 % from the floor, 28.6 % from beyond the arc, and 72.3 % from the free-throw line. Centenary averages 32.7 rebounds per game and 10.0 assists/game. Beverly is the Gents' leading scorer (15.8 PPG) this season and Collier is next at 14.3 PPG.
Freshman G Jaden Braden (Natchitoches, La.) and sophomore G Nicholas Addison (Cedar Hill, Texas) each average 9.8 PPG, Broussard averages 7.4 PPG and Evans averages 6.0 PPG. Addison is the leading rebounder (7.2/game) and Broussard is next at 5.2.
Centenary's next regular-season action will be on Friday (5:30 PM) against LeTourneau University at home in conference play.
