Single Game ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for all children 12 and younger.
The Ladies are set to play 25 regular-season games under the leadership of first-year head coach Rennie Bailey. Centenary remains at home to face Jarvis Christian University on Monday, Nov. 10 at 6 PM and then hit the road for a pair of non-conference contests against Mississippi University for Women (MUW) on Nov. 13 (NOON) and Millsaps College on Nov. 14 at 6 PM.
The Ladies are scheduled to play 11 home games, 14 road games, and 16 conference contests – nine on the road and seven at home. The Maroon and White will open Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play at LeTourneau University on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 7:30 PM in Longview, Texas. Centenary's first league game at home is set for Friday, Jan. 2 against LeTourneau at 7:30 PM.
Centenary's final home game will be on Saturday, Feb. 14 against the University of the Ozarks at 6 PM and the Ladies will finish the regular season on the road at Colorado College (Feb. 20 – 7:30 PM) and the University of St. Thomas (Feb. 22 – 2 PM).
Bailey, a native of Minden, La., comes to Centenary from Southern University in Baton Rouge, where he served as an assistant on the men's staff for the last two seasons and helped the Jaguars win the 2025 SWAC Regular Season Championship. The former Louisiana Tech standout has over 30 years of experience at the college and high school level. He replaces former head coach Paul Reed, who guided the Ladies the last three seasons.
Bailey starred at Louisiana Tech from 1979-84 alongside his teammate and NBA Hall of Famer Karl Malone, and was drafted in the sixth round of the 1984 draft by the Detroit Pistons. In Bailey's senior season (1983-84), he and Malone helped the Bulldogs to a Southland Conference Tournament championship, and a trip to the NCAA Tournament. Bailey received his bachelor's degree in health and physical education from Tech in 1987.
The Ladies' roster features 14 returnees and five newcomers and is highlighted by to returnees who earned All-SCAC honors last season – senior F Layla Powell (Fort Worth, Texas) and sophomore G Nevaeh Rivera (Rosepine, La.) as Powell and River each earned Honorable-mention honors.
Rivera finished third in the conference in steals per game (2.7) which was tied for 61st nationally. She was second on the team in scoring (10.1 PPG) and 24th in the conference, averaged 4.0 rebounds/game, 2.2 assists/game, and scored in double figures 10 times and scored 20+ points three times.
Powell averaged 8.3 PPG, reached double figures 11 times and shot a strong 72.5 % from the free-throw line (12th in the conference) and was 11th in the SCAC in steals/game (1.7). She reached double figures six times in the last 10 games of the season as she earned all-conference honors for the first time in her career.
Senior G Amiyah Barrow (Baton Rouge, La.) and senior F Kyra Stokes (Shreveport, La.) are both key contributors who have been named All-SCAC in their careers.
The Ladies' non-conference games in addition to the ETBU season opener, MUW, and Millsaps are: Arlington Baptist University (Nov. 18), Wiley University (Nov. 25), a road rematch with ETBU in Marshall, Texas on Dec. 9 and a pair of games with Howard Payne University – on Dec. 12 in Brownwood, Texas and Jan. 20 at home.
Centenary was picked to finish 12th in the conference this season in the SCAC preseason poll. The top six teams in the conference will qualify for the SCAC Women's Basketball Tournament, which will be held February 27 through March 1 and hosted by Hendrix College in Conway, Ark. The winner of that event will earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
