The Centenary women's basketball team is on the road for the second weekend in a row for a pair of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contests beginning on Friday when the Ladies face the Austin College ‘Roos at 8 PM inside Hughey Gymnasium.

The Ladies (2-10, 1-3 SCAC) enter Friday's game against the 'Roos (5-8, 2-2 SCAC) on a five-game losing streak and are 2-6 on the road this season. Austin College is on a three-game losing streak and is 2-4 at home this season. The 'Roos won both games against the Ladies last season and have won the last four meetings between the teams.
Centenary lost twice on the road last weekend in league play, 85-34 to McMurry University and 64-32 to Schreiner University. Austin College also lost a pair of conference road games, 58-47 at Colorado College and 65-58 at the University of St. Thomas.

Scoring: Senior G Amiyah Barrow (Baton Rouge, La.) – 8.4 PPG
Rebounding: Senior F Kyra Stokes (Shreveport, La.) – 6.0 RPG
Assists: Sophomore G Nevaeh Rivera (Rosepine, La.) – 2.2/game
Blocks: Stokes – 0.9/game
Steals: Rivera – 2.1/game
The Ladies average 49.8 PPG, shoot 31.8 % from the floor, 24.5 % from 3-point range, and 63.5 % from the free-throw line while averaging 35.5 rebounds/game, 9.6 assists/game, 11.6 steals/game, and 2.9 blocks/game. Centenary's 9.6 assists/game rank fourth in the conference.
Senior F Layla Powell (Fort Worth, Texas) averages 6.2 PPG, sophomore G Alexis Duhon (Westlake, La.) averages 5.3 PPG, Rivera averages 4.5, sophomore G Julissa Cabrera (Denham Springs, La.) is averaging 4.5 PPG, and freshman F Emily Cortez (Thibodaux, La.) is at 3.5 PPG.
Senior G Savannah Stowers (Waller, Texas) averages 2.5 PPG, junior F Natalya Senat (Killeen, Texas) 2.4, sophomore G Madison Fontenot (Mamou, La.) is averaging 1.5 PPG, and freshman F/C Dajalee LeBlanc (Crowley, La.) averages 1.0 PPG.
Stokes is tied for 13th in the league in rebounding, Rivera ranks eighth in steals while Cabrera is tied for 12th, Stokes is seventh in blocked shots and Cortez is 10th, and Barrow is eighth in minutes played, averaging 30.8/game.
Austin College averages 54.7 PPG, shoots 35.3 % from the floor, 27.9 from 3-point range, and 65.4 % from the FT line. Junior G Lexi Martin leads the 'Roos in scoring (10.2 PPG). Olivia Hunt is in her first season as the Austin College head coach.
Centenary was picked to finish 12th in the conference this season in the SCAC preseason poll while Austin College was predicted to finish sixth. The top six teams in the conference will qualify for the SCAC Women's Basketball Tournament, which will be held February 27 through March 1 and hosted by Hendrix College in Conway, Ark. The winner of that event will earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The Ladies will wrap up the weekend at the University of Dallas on Saturday (6 PM) in Irving, Texas.
