The Ladies will wrap up the weekend on Saturday versus the University of the Ozarks Eagles at 6 PM in Clarksville, Ark.
The Ladies (3-16, 2-8 SCAC) enter Friday's game against the Warriors (10-8, 6-4 SCAC) aiming to snap a three-game losing streak and improve upon their 2-8 road record this season. Hendrix defeated Schreiner University 72-63 on Sunday in Kerrville, Texas in its most recent game and is 4-3 at home this season.
Ladies' Season Individual Statistical Leaders:
Scoring: Senior G Amiyah Barrow (Baton Rouge, La.) – 9.5 PPG
Rebounding: Senior F Kyra Stokes (Shreveport, La.) – 6.8 RPG
Assists: Sophomore G Julissa Cabrera (Denham Springs, La.) and Barrow – 1.6/game each
Blocks: Stokes – 0.7/game
Steals: Cabrera – 1.4/game
The Ladies average 50.2 PPG, shoot 32.3 % from the floor, 25.8 % from 3-point range, and 64.1 % from the free-throw line while averaging 35.4 rebounds/game, 9.3 assists/game, 11.4 steals/game, and 2.5 blocks/game.
Barrow has been steady lately as she averaged 10.5 PPG in a pair of home games against Austin College and Dallas last weekend. She grabbed nine rebounds, tallied six assists, and had three steals and a blocked shot while averaging 35.5 minutes/game. She had 12 points against the 'Roos on Jan. 30 which marked her ninth double-digit scoring performance of the season. Against the Crusaders on Saturday, she had nine points, three assists, three rebounds, two steals, and a blocked shot. Barrow is ninth in the league in minutes played and ranks among the top 30 scorers in the conference.
Stokes is ranked in the top 10 in the league in blocked shots and in the top 15 in the SCAC in rebounding, and Cabrera is in the top 15 in steals, senior F Layla Powell (Fort Worth, Texas) is in the top 15 in 3-PT FG made and freshman F Emily Cortez (Thibodaux, La.) like Stokes ranks in the top 10 in blocked shots.
Centenary was picked to finish 12th in the conference this season in the SCAC preseason poll while Hendrix was predicted to finish ninth. The top six teams in the conference (top three in each division) will qualify for the SCAC Women's Basketball Tournament, which will be held February 27 through March 1 and in Conway, Ark. The winner of that event, hosted by Hendrix, will earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The Warriors are currently in second place in the SCAC's Blue Division while the Ladies are in a three-way tie for fourth place with Ozarks and LeTourneau University.

LOOKING AHEAD: Next weekend, the Ladies will have rematches against both the Warriors and Eagles at home. Centenary and Hendrix will meet at 7:30 PM on Friday, Feb. 13 and then the Maroon and White face Ozarks on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 6 PM in their final home game of the season in the Gold Dome.
