'Roos Race Past Ladies On Friday Night
The Centenary women's basketball team fell 66-41 to the Austin College 'Roos on Friday night in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest inside the Gold Dome.

Shreveport - The Centenary women's basketball team fell 66-41 to the Austin College 'Roos on Friday night in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest inside the Gold Dome.
The Ladies dropped to 3-14 overall and 2-6 in SCAC play while the 'Roos improved to 10-8 overall and 7-2 in conference play. Austin College completed the season sweep over Centenary after claiming a 78-54 win on Jan. 16 in Sherman, Texas, a victory that started the 'Roos' current five-game winning streak.
Austin College led 20-8 after the first quarter and outscored Centenary 15-10 in the second to take a 35-18 halftime lead. The 'Roos finished with a 19-12 advantage in the third quarter and edged the Ladies 12-11 in the final 10 minutes.
The Ladies will wrap up the weekend on Saturday versus the University of Dallas (3-15, 2-6 SCAC) at 6 PM.
